M is for Monitor and Merrimack. They where 2 ships that had fought each other in 1862. It was said that it was the most revolutionary war at sea in history. Until then battles at sea would be with wooden ships. They where made of ironclad. The Monitor had lost about 409 sailors. The Merrimack had lost about 24 sailors. That is what the Monitor and Merrimack was.
